Increased Effects of Climate Change
Throughout The Years
Climate change has been getting worse and worse over the years, it is proven that the earth and creatures living on it have felt the impact of global warming throughout the world. As temperatures rise, habitats begin to change and animals either die off or change their behavior.
Projected Changes in the physical climate of the gulf coast and Caribbean. https://link-springer-com.mantis.csuchico.edu/article/10.1007/s10584-011-0254-y
In this article, it explains how increases in greenhouse gases takes a toll on the gulf coast and Caribbean. It estimates how many changes will take place in that region including the change in temperature, sea level, and precipitation. It also informs us on how there is a lot of rainfall in these regions where hurricanes and tropical cyclones happen. Global warming changes the regional climate throughout the gulf and Caribbean. This is already a pretty warm region so an increase in temperature causes more humidity but it may not make hurricanes more presentable during hurricane season. It might make the hurricanes more intense and powerful which could cause more damage. It explains how the sea levels will rise and this could be a hazard to the islands.
I plan to use this article to show how global warming is changing the planet and how it will affect all of us in the future if we don’t put a stop to it. It has information on how the gulf coast and Caribbean have been affected from the planets rising temperature. It also gave me information on how animals relocate when the waters start to become affected by it.
World’s oceans are losing power to stall climate change https://www-nature-com.mantis.csuchico.edu/articles/d41586-019-02897-7
In this article is explains how the ocean has helped prolong climate change by absorbing the heat and carbon dioxide. But the ocean has been taking in all this damage for too much time and that will come to a halt if greenhouse gases don’t decrease. If we don’t slow the rate for greenhouse gases, hurricanes will intensify, fish will start dying, and the mainlands will be flooded from ocean levels rising. This article gave us information on how over 100 scientists ,in 30 different countries, have testified the same thing. Humans have made a long term impact on the planet, by the year 2100 the ocean level will have risen by 1.1 metres. This will cause more flooding during storms which will lead to more damage. It reveals in the article that water is being affected worldwide from climate change. This causes ocean animals to relocate, as whales start to search for colder waters.
I will use this article to back up my information on the ocean being affected from greenhouse gases. It explains why the ocean begins to heat up more throughout the years and explained how the ocean has helped us with global warming. In my essay I can show how global warming will intensify hurricanes and cause sea levels to rise. I will argue on how global warming has a terrible affect on the earth and it is slowly falling apart. It is shown in many different ways how our earth is changing from global warming.
Worse News for our plants, animals: https://search-proquest-com.mantis.csuchico.edu/docview/438562129?accountid=10346&rfr_id=info%3Axri%2Fsid%3Aprimo
This article goes in to depth on how the plants and animals are being affected and how they behavior has been altered. Scientists that have been doing research in Europe and North America shared their findings on how many species will go extinct due to the rising temperatures. It also backed up my argument on how animals are relocating due to the rising temperatures. It states how the earths temperature could rise by 6 degrees celsius, the earths temperature has only risen by half a degrees celsius and already has made some drastic changes. It is also shown how plants, birds and butterflies have advanced when they lay their eggs or when plants bloom by 2.3 days each decade.
I will use this information to backup all my statements being made on how it is affecting animals and all living life on earth little by little. This article explains the changes aren’t being made over night but every year it increases. It gives examples on how much plants or animals behavior changes from climate change.
