I was born in San Jose, California and I have lived there my whole life. I live in this part called Almaden and that’s where most of my friends lived so there was a lot of stuff going on while I was growing up. The most unique part of living in Almaden is it’s surrounded by everything. Santa Cruz is 45 minutes away along with San Fransisco. Whenever my friends and I were bored we would just drive to the beach. My favorite part about it is how all my best friends live near me. One of my best friend lives right down the street from me and has lived there pretty our whole friendship. When we’re away at college everyone is spread out and doing their own thing so it makes you appreciate them more. I have made so many unforgettable memories all around my home in Almaden. My least favorite part is how busy it gets and so many people want to move there now. San Jose seems to get more and more popular over the years. Driving at certain times during the day is a mess because expressways and streets get cramped. It used to be a smaller town when I was growing up and that’s what I miss about it. I don’t think I would move back permanently after college because of how many people are moving there. Moving to Chico made me realize how much I needed this change and how my hometown was holding me back from growing up.
